Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to GenGUI's websites, applications, account systems, and related services. By using GenGUI, you acknowledge the practices described here and in our Terms of Service.

Depending on how you use GenGUI, we collect:

• Identity information: your name or username, if you provide one.
• Contact information: your email address.
• Account information: password hash, authentication provider, verification status, preferences, credit balance, and account timestamps. We do not store your plaintext password.
• Payment information: purchase, plan, receipt, and transaction status. Stripe processes payments; GenGUI never receives or stores full card numbers, security codes, or card details.
• Projects and prompts: generated projects, prompts, reference images, exports, and related settings when you choose to create or save them.
• Usage analytics: feature interactions, generation and export events, session duration, credit usage, errors, and product-performance information.
• Cookies and local storage: authentication cookies and, after you accept the cookie notice, analytics identifiers and preferences used to understand and improve the service.
• Device and browser information: browser type, operating system, device type, IP address, request timestamps, referring page, and basic server logs.
• Communications: messages and files you send when requesting support or contacting us.

We receive information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, and from service providers such as Google, Discord, or Roblox when you choose social sign-in and Stripe when you make a purchase. Information from those providers is limited by your settings and their privacy policies.

We use personal information to:

• provide, operate, secure, and support GenGUI;
• authenticate accounts, save projects, process generations, and manage credits;
• process purchases through Stripe and maintain transaction records;
• improve GenGUI, troubleshoot issues, and develop features;
• monitor reliability, measure usage, and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents;
• send important transactional emails such as verification, password reset, receipts, billing messages, security alerts, and account notices; and
• send optional product updates and promotional emails when you have opted in.

Transactional messages are necessary to operate your account and are not marketing. Product updates and promotional messages are optional. You can opt in or out at any time in Settings or by using the unsubscribe link included in every promotional email. Unsubscribing from marketing will not stop password resets, receipts, security messages, or other important account notices.

We disclose information only as needed to operate GenGUI, complete your requests, protect the service, or comply with law. Providers may include cloud hosting, OpenAI or other disclosed AI providers, Stripe for payments, Resend for email, Google, Discord, or Roblox for optional sign-in, and analytics or security vendors enabled for the service.

Project content and prompts may be sent to AI providers when required to generate the output you request. We may also disclose information in a business transaction, with your direction or consent, or when reasonably necessary to comply with legal process and protect rights and safety.

We do not sell users' personal information.

We may combine or de-identify information so it can no longer reasonably identify you. We may use this aggregated or anonymized data to improve GenGUI, evaluate features, analyze usage trends, conduct research, and report high-level product statistics. We do not attempt to re-identify data treated as anonymized.

Essential cookies keep you authenticated, preserve security, and support requested account functions. These are required for the service to work. With your cookie acceptance, GenGUI also uses local storage and similar technology for analytics and to understand returning sessions, feature usage, and product performance.

GenGUI does not use third-party advertising cookies. Clearing browser data may sign you out or reset your cookie preference.

We retain account and project information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. We may keep limited records longer when required for billing, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, backups, or legal compliance. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify associated information subject to those requirements and normal backup cycles.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain uses of personal information, or to object to processing. You can update preferences in your account and request help at privacy@getgengui.com. We may verify your identity before completing a request.

GenGUI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If local law requires parental consent for a user, that user may use GenGUI only with the required consent.

We may update this Policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the new version with an updated date and provide additional notice for material changes when appropriate.
